Retail Sales Associate – Full Time
About The Position
AutoZone store teams provide customer service by helping customers find automotive parts and solutions, maintaining stocked inventory, and supporting store operations. The Retail Sales Associate delivers customer service, offers automotive advice, recommends products and promotions, and contributes to sales goals and store performance. The role also includes restocking and organizing merchandise, following cash-handling and loss-prevention procedures, complying with safety policies and using PPE, learning about automotive parts and promotions through AutoZone systems, assisting with wiper blade, battery, and light bulb installations, and using diagnostic tools to read vehicle codes and recommend solutions. The position requires a flexible full-time schedule, including mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Basic knowledge of automotive parts is required.
- Ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
- Availability for a full-time flexible schedule, including mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Strong people skills and effective communication in both Spanish and English.
- Previous experience in automotive retail.
- Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification.
Responsibilities
- Engage with customers, provide trustworthy automotive advice, and communicate clearly and professionally.
- Collaborate with managers and teammates, support team members, and demonstrate leadership in daily responsibilities.
- Recommend products, services, and promotions while contributing to sales goals and store performance metrics.
- Restock and organize merchandise, follow cash-handling and loss-prevention procedures, and support smooth store operations.
- Complete assigned tasks efficiently by following established processes and comply with safety policies, including use of PPE.
- Stay current on automotive parts, tools, and promotions using AutoZone systems.
- Assist customers with wiper blade, battery, and light bulb installations.
- Use diagnostic tools to read codes from customer vehicles and recommend solutions.
