Retail Sales Associate
About The Position
The Retail Sales Associate delivers value to AAA members while supporting overall sales performance. The role promotes and recommends AAA memberships, insurance referrals, and financial products; assists customers with travel planning; responds to Roadside Assistance calls; and supports team operations with cashiering, tag and title services, and ID services as needed. The position is based at 7865 Sudley Road, Manassas, VA 20109. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and Saturday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, for a 37.5-hour work week, with no late nights or Sundays. Hourly pay is $18.82 to $24.07, adjusted based on experience, geographic location, and other job-related factors as permitted by law. There is also a monthly incentive opportunity, averaging $162 to $389 in bonus earnings based on individual performance.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to build trust and explain value clearly.
- Comfort navigating multiple systems in a fast-paced environment.
- Satisfactory pre-employment and post-employment screening results, including criminal, drug, and state and/or vendor-specific screenings.
- Ability to obtain a necessary Membership license or other licenses required to perform the essential functions of the position.
Nice To Haves
- Previous sales experience.
- Basic geography knowledge.
- Notary Public designation, or willingness to obtain it within six months of employment.
Responsibilities
- Consistently promote and recommend AAA memberships, insurance referrals, and financial products.
- Assist customers with travel planning, including hotels, car rentals, and vacation packages.
- Manage and respond to Roadside Assistance calls continuously throughout the day.
- Support team operations by helping with cashiering, tag and title services, and ID services as needed.
