About The Position

Sun Tan City is hiring a part-time Retail Sales Associate for a high-energy salon environment. The role focuses on delivering professional customer service, building client relationships, understanding and meeting client needs, and recommending products and services. Team members also help maintain salon cleanliness and may work independently during a shift as business needs require. Compensation is a base rate of $11.00 per hour or more, with performance bonuses; average earnings are stated as $15.00 per hour for team members who meet all performance and training criteria, but that amount is not guaranteed.

Requirements

Basic computer skills and knowledge.
Ability to provide professional customer service and build good client relationships.
Ability to recommend products and services and meet minimum sales requirements.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced salon environment.
Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
Ability to bend at the waist to clean tanning equipment and bend down to pick up trash, towels, and other items from floors.
Ability to lift or assist in lifting items and heavy boxes.
Ability to perform cleaning tasks such as dusting, sweeping, mopping, and scrubbing.
Ability to work independently and alone during shifts as business needs require.

Responsibilities

Provide professional customer service and ensure clients’ needs are met.
Engage with clients, build relationships, and understand and meet their needs.
Recommend products and services.
Meet minimum sales requirements.
Multitask by cleaning tanning beds as clients leave and engaging with new clients as they arrive.
Help maintain cleanliness in tanning rooms, the lobby, restrooms, laundry, and storage areas.
Work cohesively with a team in an upbeat, fast-paced salon environment while following company policies and procedures.
Work independently and alone during shifts when business needs require.
