About The Position

Sun Tan City is seeking a part-time Retail Sales Associate to provide friendly, professional service and knowledgeable recommendations to salon clients. Associates help clients choose tanning and wellness options, build positive client relationships, and support salon operations in an upbeat, fast-paced environment. The role includes opportunities to earn performance bonuses and advance within the company. The stated hourly compensation range is $11.00 to $15.00; the higher average earnings depend on meeting performance and training criteria and are not guaranteed.

Requirements

Basic computer skills and knowledge.
Ability to provide professional customer service and engage effectively with clients.
Ability to make product and service recommendations and meet minimum sales requirements.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced salon environment.
Ability to work independently and alone during shifts when business needs require.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Ability to bend at the waist to clean tanning equipment and bend down to pick up items from floors.
Ability to lift or assist in lifting items and heavy boxes.
Ability to perform cleaning tasks such as dusting, sweeping, mopping, and scrubbing.

Responsibilities

Provide excellent customer service and ensure clients’ needs are met professionally.
Engage with clients, build relationships, understand their needs, and recommend products and services.
Meet minimum sales requirements.
Multitask by cleaning tanning beds as clients leave and engaging new clients as they arrive.
Help maintain cleanliness in tanning rooms, the lobby, restrooms, laundry, and storage areas.
Work cohesively with the team while following company policies and procedures.
Educate clients about tanning and wellness options.
