Retail Sales Associate – Part Time
About The Position
AutoZone’s store teams provide customer service, help customers find automotive parts and solutions, maintain inventory, and support sales and store operations. The Retail Sales Associate delivers WOW! Customer Service by assisting customers with automotive needs, recommending products and services, and contributing to store performance. The role also includes restocking and organizing merchandise, following point-of-sale and loss-prevention procedures, learning about products and promotions, and using diagnostic tools to read vehicle codes and recommend solutions. Team members follow safety policies and use required personal protective equipment. Flexible scheduling may include mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed. This is a part-time position.
Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years old.
- Ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
- Flexible schedule availability, including mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
Nice To Haves
- Basic knowledge of automotive parts.
- Strong people skills and effective communication in both Spanish and English.
- Previous experience in automotive retail.
- Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification.
Responsibilities
- Engage with customers, provide trustworthy automotive advice, and communicate clearly and professionally.
- Collaborate with managers and teammates, support team members, and contribute to a motivated, productive store environment.
- Recommend products, services, and promotions while contributing to sales goals and store performance metrics.
- Restock and organize merchandise; follow point-of-sale procedures and loss-prevention policies; support proper financial management and smooth store operations.
- Use structured processes to complete assigned tasks and follow safety policies, including use of personal protective equipment.
- Stay current on automotive parts, tools, and promotions using AutoZone systems.
- Use diagnostic tools to read codes from customer vehicles and recommend solutions.
- Lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
