About The Position

AutoZone store teams provide customer service and help customers find parts and solutions for their automotive needs. Store employees maintain inventory, assist with product selection, and offer advice to support the shopping experience. The Retail Sales Associate helps drive sales, maintain store operations, and foster a positive retail environment. The role focuses on delivering WOW! Customer Service, exceeding customer expectations, and contributing to store performance. Associates also assist with basic vehicle installations and diagnostic support.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Basic knowledge of automotive parts is required.
• Ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
• Availability for a full-time flexible schedule, including mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Strong people skills and effective communication in both Spanish and English.
• Previous experience in automotive retail.
• Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification.

Responsibilities

• Engage with customers, provide automotive advice, and communicate clearly and professionally.
• Collaborate with managers and teammates to support a motivated, productive store environment; support team members and demonstrate leadership in daily responsibilities.
• Recommend products, services, and promotions while contributing to sales goals and store performance metrics.
• Restock merchandise, maintain store organization, follow cash-handling and loss-prevention procedures, and support smooth store operations.
• Complete assigned tasks using structured processes and follow safety policies, including use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Maintain knowledge of automotive parts, tools, and promotions using AutoZone systems.
• Assist customers with wiper blade, battery, and light bulb installations.
• Use diagnostic tools to read vehicle codes and recommend solutions.
