Retail Sales Associate – Part Time
About The Position
AutoZone is hiring a part-time Retail Sales Associate to deliver WOW! Customer Service and help customers find appropriate automotive parts and solutions. The role supports sales and store operations by assisting customers with product selection and automotive advice, maintaining inventory and merchandise organization, and contributing to a positive, knowledgeable retail environment. Associates use AutoZone systems to build product knowledge and diagnostic tools to read vehicle codes and recommend solutions. They follow company processes, point-of-sale procedures, loss-prevention policies, and safety requirements, including using personal protective equipment. Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years old.
- Ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
- Flexible schedule availability, including mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
Nice To Haves
- Basic knowledge of automotive parts.
- Strong interpersonal skills and effective communication in both Spanish and English.
- Previous experience in automotive retail.
- Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification.
Responsibilities
- Engage with customers, provide trustworthy automotive advice, and communicate clearly and professionally.
- Collaborate with managers and teammates to support a motivated, productive store environment and demonstrate leadership in daily responsibilities.
- Recommend products, services, and promotions while contributing to sales goals and store performance metrics.
- Restock and organize merchandise, follow point-of-sale procedures and loss-prevention policies, and support smooth store operations and proper financial management.
- Complete assigned tasks efficiently by following structured processes and company safety policies, including using personal protective equipment.
- Stay current on automotive parts, tools, and promotions through AutoZone systems.
- Use diagnostic tools to read codes from customer vehicles and recommend solutions.
- Lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
