Retail Sales Associate – Part Time
About The Position
AutoZone is hiring a part-time Retail Sales Associate to deliver WOW! Customer Service and help customers find automotive parts and solutions. The role supports sales and store operations by assisting customers with product selection and automotive advice, maintaining inventory and store organization, and contributing to a positive, knowledgeable retail environment. Associates use AutoZone systems to stay current on parts, tools, and promotions, and diagnostic tools to read codes from customer vehicles and recommend solutions. The position offers opportunities for career growth in an essential industry.
Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years old.
- Ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
- Flexible availability, including mornings, nights, and weekends, and ability to work overtime as needed.
Nice To Haves
- Basic knowledge of automotive parts.
- Strong people skills and effective communication in both Spanish and English.
- Previous experience in automotive retail.
- Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification.
Responsibilities
- Engage with customers, provide trustworthy automotive advice, and communicate clearly and professionally.
- Collaborate with managers and teammates to create a motivated, productive store environment; support coworkers and demonstrate leadership in daily responsibilities.
- Recommend products, services, and promotions, and contribute to sales goals and store performance metrics.
- Restock and organize merchandise, follow point-of-sale and loss-prevention procedures, and support proper financial management and smooth store operations.
- Use structured processes to complete tasks efficiently and follow company safety policies, including using personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Stay current on automotive parts, tools, and promotions using AutoZone systems.
- Use diagnostic tools to read codes from customer vehicles and recommend solutions.
- Lift, load, and deliver merchandise as required.
