Retail Sales Associate – Full Time
About The Position
AutoZone store teams provide customer service, help customers find automotive parts and solutions, maintain inventory, and support store operations. The Retail Sales Associate delivers customer service by assisting customers with automotive needs, recommending products and services, and helping maintain a positive, knowledgeable retail environment. The role offers opportunities for growth in an essential industry serving the motoring public. The associate works with managers and teammates, supports sales and store performance, maintains merchandise and operational processes, follows safety policies, and assists customers with basic installation and diagnostic services.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Basic knowledge of automotive parts is required.
- Ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
- Availability for a full-time flexible schedule, including mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Strong people skills and effective communication in both Spanish and English.
- Previous automotive retail experience.
- Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification.
Responsibilities
- Engage with customers, provide trustworthy automotive advice, and communicate clearly and professionally.
- Collaborate with managers and teammates to support a motivated, productive store environment; assist team members and demonstrate leadership in daily responsibilities.
- Recommend products, services, and promotions while contributing to sales goals and store performance metrics.
- Restock and organize merchandise, follow cash-handling and loss-prevention policies, and help keep store operations running smoothly.
- Use structured processes to complete assigned tasks efficiently and follow company safety policies, including use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Stay current on automotive parts, tools, and promotions through AutoZone systems.
- Assist customers with wiper blade, battery, and light bulb installations.
- Use diagnostic tools to read codes from customer vehicles and recommend solutions.
