Retail Sales Associate Part Time
About The Position
The Retail Sales Associate promotes BJ’s membership programs and provides service to members. The role focuses on acquiring, renewing, upgrading, and cross-selling memberships; explaining membership options and the co-brand credit card; and assisting with member questions, merchandise returns, exchanges, product lookups, and pickups. The associate also supports Buy Online and Pick Up In Club (BOPIC) orders, follows club policies and procedures, and may work in other departments as needed. The associate is expected to deliver friendly, efficient service, resolve member concerns or escalate them when appropriate, contribute to safe and positive experiences, and work collaboratively to maintain club standards. Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.

Responsibilities
- Promote BJ’s membership acquisition, retention, perks, and member experience value proposition.
- Pitch membership programs and sell membership products to prospective and current members in accordance with company policies and practices.
- Work toward business-established goals and benchmarks.
- Explain BJ’s membership options and co-brand credit card.
- Serve as a first point of contact for membership matters, credit card applications, general questions, issues, merchandise returns, exchanges, product lookups, and pickups.
- Follow tax-exempt and resale membership retention policies and procedures, including monitoring renewals and tax-exempt or resale status.
- Resolve member concerns courteously and promptly; escalate issues to the PIC or MOD when necessary.
- Assist members with BOPIC orders.
- Maintain club policies and procedures and contribute to daily club standards, including stocking, promotional plans, signage, cleanliness, and organization.
- Perform other assigned duties, including working in other departments as needed.
- Maintain regular, predictable, full attendance.
