Retail Sales Associate – Part Time
About The Position
AutoZone’s store teams provide customer service, help customers find automotive parts and solutions, maintain inventory, and support store operations. The Retail Sales Associate delivers WOW! Customer Service by assisting customers, recommending products and promotions, and contributing to a positive, knowledgeable retail environment. The role involves keeping merchandise stocked and organized, following point-of-sale and loss-prevention procedures, learning about automotive parts and promotions, and using diagnostic tools to read vehicle codes and recommend solutions. AutoZone offers opportunities for growth in the automotive retail industry.
Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years old.
- Ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
- Flexible schedule availability, including mornings, nights, and weekends, and overtime as needed.
Nice To Haves
- Basic knowledge of automotive parts.
- Strong people skills and effective communication in both Spanish and English.
- Previous experience in automotive retail.
- Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification.
Responsibilities
- Engage with customers, provide trustworthy automotive advice, and communicate clearly and professionally.
- Collaborate with managers and teammates, support team members, and contribute to a motivated and productive store environment.
- Recommend products, services, and promotions while contributing to sales goals and store performance metrics.
- Restock and organize merchandise, follow point-of-sale procedures and loss-prevention policies, and support proper financial management and smooth store operations.
- Use structured processes to complete assigned tasks efficiently and follow safety policies, including use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Stay current on automotive parts, tools, and promotions using AutoZone systems.
- Use diagnostic tools to read codes from customer vehicles and recommend solutions.
- Lift, load, and deliver merchandise as required.
