Retail Sales Associate – Part Time
About The Position
AutoZone’s store teams are the frontline of WOW! Customer Service, helping customers find the right parts and solutions for their automotive needs. Store employees maintain well-stocked inventory, assist with product selection, and provide automotive advice. They support sales and store operations while fostering a positive, knowledgeable retail environment. The Retail Sales Associate delivers WOW! Customer Service by exceeding customer expectations. The role includes recommending products, services, and promotions; maintaining merchandise and store organization; following point-of-sale, loss-prevention, and safety procedures; staying current on automotive parts and promotions; and using diagnostic tools to read vehicle codes and recommend solutions.
Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years old.
- Ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
- Flexible schedule availability, including mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
Nice To Haves
- Basic knowledge of automotive parts.
- Strong people skills and effective communication in both Spanish and English.
- Previous experience in automotive retail.
- Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification.
Responsibilities
- Engage with customers, provide trustworthy automotive advice, and communicate clearly and professionally.
- Collaborate with managers and teammates to create a motivated, productive store environment; support team members and demonstrate leadership in daily responsibilities.
- Recommend products, services, and promotions to improve the customer experience and contribute to sales goals and store performance metrics.
- Restock merchandise and maintain store organization.
- Follow proper point-of-sale procedures and loss-prevention policies, ensuring proper financial management.
- Complete assigned tasks efficiently using structured processes and follow company safety policies, including use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Stay current on automotive parts, tools, and promotions through AutoZone systems.
- Use diagnostic tools to read codes from customer vehicles and recommend solutions.
- Lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
