Retail Sales Associate – Part Time
About The Position
AutoZone is hiring a part-time Retail Sales Associate to deliver customer service, help customers find automotive parts and solutions, and contribute to sales and store operations. The role involves providing automotive advice, recommending products and promotions, supporting teammates, maintaining inventory and store organization, following point-of-sale and loss-prevention procedures, and using diagnostic tools to read vehicle codes and recommend solutions. Associates use AutoZone systems to maintain knowledge of parts, tools, and promotions and follow safety policies, including the use of personal protective equipment. Applicants must be at least 16 years old, be able to lift, load, and deliver merchandise, and have flexible availability for mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed. Basic automotive-parts knowledge, strong communication skills in English and Spanish, previous automotive retail experience, and ASE certification are preferred. Responsibilities
- Engage with customers, provide trustworthy automotive advice, and communicate clearly and professionally.
- Collaborate with managers and teammates, support team members, and contribute to a motivated, productive store environment.
- Recommend products, services, and promotions while contributing to sales goals and store performance metrics.
- Restock merchandise, maintain store organization, follow point-of-sale procedures and loss-prevention policies, and support smooth store operations.
- Complete assigned tasks efficiently by following established processes and company safety policies, including use of personal protective equipment.
- Stay current on automotive parts, tools, and promotions through AutoZone systems.
- Use diagnostic tools to read codes from customer vehicles and recommend solutions.
