About The Position

Verizon is hiring a full-time Retail Sales Associate to drive sales and deliver customer service in a retail store. The role involves learning customers’ needs, recommending complete technology solutions, and closing sales through clear communication. Associates also receive ongoing training and develop skills in store operations, merchandising, and inventory. They may contact interested Verizon customers by phone or text and represent Verizon at sponsored off-site community events.

This is a commission-based position. The posting gives a location-specific starting base pay rate of $16.59 per hour and describes opportunities to earn commissions based on sales performance. Compensation varies by geography, hours worked, and performance. The role is onsite at a defined work location, with 40 scheduled hours per week. Employees must be willing to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, and may be able to pick up additional shifts during busy periods.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least one year of relevant experience, demonstrated through work experience and/or military experience.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Openness to picking up additional shifts, typically during summer, November through December, and/or peak vacation periods.

Responsibilities

• Generate retail sales by using technology knowledge and customer service to expand the Verizon network.
• Discover customers’ needs by building connections and asking questions.
• Recommend products and solutions that provide customers with a complete sales solution.
• Close sales by communicating effectively and offering intuitive technology solutions.
• Participate in ongoing training and develop skills in operational functions, merchandising, and inventory.
• Make outbound calls and send text messages to current Verizon customers interested in Verizon products and services.
• Engage with the community at off-site Verizon-sponsored events to expand the customer base.
