Retail Sales Associate – Part Time
About The Position
AutoZone’s Retail Sales Associates are part of the store teams that deliver WOW! Customer Service and help customers find parts and solutions for their automotive needs. Associates assist with product selection, provide automotive advice, support sales, maintain inventory, and help keep store operations running smoothly. The role offers opportunities for growth in an essential industry serving the motoring public. Associates work collaboratively with managers and teammates in a positive, knowledgeable retail environment. They learn about automotive parts, tools, and promotions using AutoZone systems, and may use diagnostic tools to read codes from customer vehicles and recommend solutions. The position requires the ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise, and schedule availability for mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years old to apply.

Nice To Haves
- Basic knowledge of automotive parts.
- Strong people skills and effective communication in both Spanish and English.
- Previous experience in automotive retail.
- Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification.
Responsibilities
- Engage with customers, provide trustworthy automotive advice, and communicate clearly and professionally.
- Collaborate with managers and teammates, support team members, and demonstrate leadership in daily responsibilities.
- Recommend products, services, and promotions while contributing to sales goals and store performance metrics.
- Restock merchandise, maintain store organization, follow point-of-sale procedures and loss prevention policies, and support proper financial management.
- Use structured processes to complete assigned tasks efficiently and follow safety policies, including use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Stay up to date on automotive parts, tools, and promotions through AutoZone systems.
- Use diagnostic tools to read codes from customer vehicles and recommend solutions.
