Retail Sales Associate – Full Time
About The Position
AutoZone store teams provide customer service and help customers find appropriate parts and solutions for their automotive needs. Store employees maintain inventory, assist with product selection, provide automotive advice, support sales, and help maintain store operations. The Retail Sales Associate delivers customer service, contributes to a positive retail environment, and supports customers with automotive products and services. The role includes assisting customers with product recommendations, maintaining merchandise and store organization, following cash-handling and loss-prevention procedures, and completing assigned tasks safely. Associates also stay informed about automotive parts, tools, and promotions, assist with certain installations, and use diagnostic tools to read vehicle codes and recommend solutions.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Basic knowledge of automotive parts is required.
- Ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
- Availability for a full-time flexible schedule, including mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or GED.
- Strong people skills and effective communication in both Spanish and English.
- Previous automotive retail experience.
- Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification.
Responsibilities
- Engage with customers, provide automotive advice, and communicate professionally.
- Collaborate with managers and teammates, support team members, and demonstrate leadership in daily responsibilities.
- Recommend products, services, and promotions while contributing to sales goals and store performance metrics.
- Restock merchandise, maintain store organization, follow cash-handling and loss-prevention policies, and support smooth store operations.
- Complete assigned tasks using established processes and follow safety policies and PPE requirements.
- Stay current on automotive parts, tools, and promotions using AutoZone systems.
- Assist customers with wiper blade, battery, and light bulb installations.
- Use diagnostic tools to read codes from customer vehicles and recommend solutions.
- Lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
