Retail Sales Associate – Full Time
About The Position
AutoZone store teams provide customer service, help customers find automotive parts and solutions, maintain stocked inventory, and support sales and store operations. The Retail Sales Associate delivers WOW! customer service by exceeding customer expectations and helping customers with automotive needs in an essential retail industry. The role includes assisting customers with product selection and trustworthy automotive advice, recommending products and promotions, maintaining merchandise and store organization, and supporting daily store operations. Associates may use diagnostic tools to read vehicle codes and recommend solutions, and assist customers with wiper blade, battery, and light bulb installations. The position requires following company processes, safety policies, and PPE requirements.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Basic knowledge of automotive parts is required.
- Ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
- Availability for a full-time flexible schedule, including mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Strong people skills and effective communication in both Spanish and English.
- Previous experience in automotive retail.
- Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification.
Responsibilities
- Engage with customers, provide trustworthy automotive advice, and communicate clearly and professionally.
- Collaborate with managers and teammates, support team members, and demonstrate leadership in daily responsibilities.
- Recommend products, services, and promotions while contributing to sales goals and store performance metrics.
- Restock merchandise, maintain organization, follow cash handling and loss prevention policies, and support smooth store operations.
- Complete assigned tasks using structured processes and follow company safety policies and PPE requirements.
- Stay current on automotive parts, tools, and promotions using AutoZone systems.
- Assist customers with wiper blade, battery, and light bulb installations.
- Use diagnostic tools to read codes from customer vehicles and recommend solutions.
