About The Position

Orvis is seeking a dynamic Retail Guide who appreciates the outdoor lifestyle and enjoys outfitting customers for great adventures. Sales Associates are front-line Retail Guides who inspire, outfit, and guide customers. Working alongside the Store Manager and Lead Retail Guide, the associate helps create a welcoming and inclusive store atmosphere, serves as a brand ambassador in a fast-paced retail environment, and demonstrates Orvis's core values: surprising and delighting customers, taking pride in the product, and protecting what we love. This is a seasonal role.

Requirements

• Friendly and inviting personality, with the ability to build relationships, demonstrate care for customers and co-workers, and create a fun and energetic store vibe.
• Ability to provide world-class customer service through empathy, critical thinking, and customer centricity.
• Ability to develop in-depth knowledge of Orvis products and services, engage customers, and suggest products authentically and helpfully.
• Entrepreneurial spirit and ability to leverage assets across Orvis's omnichannel retail platform.
• Current computer skills and ability to learn and apply business programs.
• Ability to handle ambiguity, use sound judgment, and solve problems for customers.
• Ability to reach, move, and handle merchandise in high and low areas, lift up to 30 pounds, and execute floor sets.
• Ability to maintain a safe, clean, and orderly workspace by following safety policies and procedures.
