About The Position
Retail Sales Associates support the customer experience across retail, rental, custom, and omni-channel business within a store location. They build customer relationships from greeting through post-sale contact, use established selling techniques, and contribute to team sales goals. The role also supports merchandising, store projects, merchandise counts, and cashiering. Team members may have the opportunity to work voluntarily across multiple store or site locations and brands.
Requirements
- Provide customer-focused service and deliver a high-quality customer experience.
- Desire to learn and adapt to new programs.
- Ability to work well with retail sales associates at all levels and contribute to a positive work environment.
- Ability to stand and walk for most of the work shift; frequently bend, squat, and twist; lift up to 50 pounds; climb a ladder to reach merchandise or supplies; and distinguish fabric patterns and colors.
Responsibilities
- Engage as a member of a high-performing team through trust, commitment, and a focus on results.
- Build customer relationships from greeting through post-sale contact.
- Demonstrate benchmark selling techniques for retail sales, custom clothing sales, and special occasion rentals.
- Encourage and participate in team selling and contribute to store sales volume and metrics goals.
- Assist with visual merchandising, setup, store-related projects, and merchandise stock counts.
- Operate the cash register at the point of sale.
