Retail Sales Associate Part Time
About The Position
Sun Tan City is seeking a part-time Retail Sales Associate for a high-energy salon environment. The role focuses on providing professional customer service, building relationships with clients, understanding their needs, and recommending products and services. Team members also help maintain salon cleanliness, meet minimum sales requirements, and work collaboratively while following company policies and procedures. Base pay is $12.50 per hour or more, with performance bonuses; the stated average of $15.50 per hour is not guaranteed and reflects team members who meet performance and training criteria.
Requirements
- Basic computer skills and knowledge.
- Ability to engage with clients, build relationships, understand their needs, and recommend products and services.
- Ability to meet minimum sales requirements.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced salon environment.
- Ability to work cohesively with a team and uphold company policies and procedures.
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
- Ability to bend at the waist to clean tanning equipment and bend down to pick up items from floors.
- Ability to lift or assist in lifting items and heavy boxes.
- Ability to perform cleaning tasks such as dusting, sweeping, mopping, and scrubbing.
- Ability to work independently and alone during shifts when business needs require.
Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service and ensure clients’ needs are met professionally.
- Build good relationships with clients, understand their needs, and make suitable product and service recommendations.
- Meet minimum sales requirements.
- Multitask by cleaning tanning beds as clients leave and engaging with new clients as they arrive.
- Maintain cleanliness in tanning rooms, the lobby, restrooms, laundry, and storage areas.
- Work cohesively with a team in an upbeat, fast-paced salon environment while following company policies and procedures.
- Use basic computer skills and knowledge.
