Retail Sales Associate – Part Time
About The Position
AutoZone’s store teams deliver WOW! Customer Service by helping customers find the right automotive parts and solutions. Store employees maintain inventory, assist with product selection, provide automotive advice, support sales and store operations, and foster a positive retail environment. As a Retail Sales Associate, you will help exceed customer expectations and contribute to a knowledgeable, productive team. The role includes recommending products and promotions, maintaining merchandise and store organization, following sales and safety procedures, learning about automotive products, and using diagnostic tools to read vehicle codes and recommend solutions. Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years old to apply.
- Ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
- Flexible schedule availability, including mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
Nice To Haves
- Basic knowledge of automotive parts.
- Strong people skills and effective communication in both Spanish and English.
- Previous experience in automotive retail.
- Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification.
Responsibilities
- Engage with customers, provide trustworthy automotive advice, and communicate clearly and professionally.
- Collaborate with managers and teammates to support a motivated and productive store environment; support team members and demonstrate leadership in daily responsibilities.
- Recommend products, services, and promotions while contributing to sales goals and store performance metrics.
- Restock and organize merchandise, follow point-of-sale procedures and loss-prevention policies, and support proper financial management and smooth store operations.
- Use structured processes to complete assigned tasks efficiently; follow company safety policies and use required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Stay current on automotive parts, tools, and promotions through AutoZone systems.
- Use diagnostic tools to read codes from customer vehicles and recommend solutions.
- Lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
