Retail Sales Associate – Part Time
About The Position
AutoZone is hiring a part-time Retail Sales Associate to provide WOW! Customer Service and help customers find automotive parts and solutions. The role supports sales and store operations by assisting customers with product selection and automotive advice, maintaining merchandise and inventory, and contributing to a positive, knowledgeable retail environment. Associates use AutoZone systems to stay current on products, tools, and promotions, and diagnostic tools to read vehicle codes and recommend solutions. The role requires the ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise, and schedule flexibility for mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed. Applicants must be at least 16 years old. Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years old.
- Ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
- Flexible schedule availability, including mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
Nice To Haves
- Basic knowledge of automotive parts.
- Strong people skills and effective communication in both Spanish and English.
- Previous experience in automotive retail.
- Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification.
Responsibilities
- Engage with customers, provide trustworthy automotive advice, and communicate clearly and professionally.
- Collaborate with managers and teammates, support team members, and demonstrate leadership in daily responsibilities.
- Recommend products, services, and promotions while contributing to sales goals and store performance metrics.
- Restock and organize merchandise; follow point-of-sale procedures and loss-prevention policies; and support proper financial management and smooth store operations.
- Use structured processes to complete tasks efficiently and follow company safety policies, including use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Stay current on automotive parts, tools, and promotions using AutoZone systems.
- Use diagnostic tools to read codes from customer vehicles and recommend solutions.
- Lift, load, and deliver merchandise as required.
