About The Position

AutoZone store teams provide customer service, maintain inventory, assist customers with product selection, and offer advice for automotive needs. The Retail Sales Associate helps deliver WOW! Customer Service, supports store operations and sales, and contributes to a positive, knowledgeable retail environment. The role involves assisting customers, recommending automotive products and services, maintaining merchandise and store organization, and helping customers with select installations and diagnostics.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Basic knowledge of automotive parts is required.
• Ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
• Availability for a full-time flexible schedule, including mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Strong people skills and effective communication in both Spanish and English.
• Previous experience in automotive retail.
• Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification.

Responsibilities

• Engage with customers, provide trustworthy automotive advice, and communicate clearly and professionally.
• Collaborate with managers and teammates to create a motivated, productive store environment; support teammates and demonstrate leadership in daily responsibilities.
• Recommend products, services, and promotions to enhance customer experience and contribute to sales goals and store performance metrics.
• Restock merchandise, maintain organization, follow cash handling and loss prevention policies, and support smooth store operations.
• Use structured processes to complete tasks efficiently and follow company safety policies and PPE requirements.
• Stay current on automotive parts, tools, and promotions through AutoZone systems.
• Assist customers with wiper blade, battery, and light bulb installations.
• Use diagnostic tools to read codes from customer vehicles and recommend solutions.
