About The Position

AutoZone’s store teams provide customer service, maintain inventory, assist customers with product selection, and offer automotive advice. The Retail Sales Associate helps deliver WOW! Customer Service, supports store operations, contributes to sales, and helps create a positive retail environment. The role includes assisting customers with automotive needs, recommending products and promotions, restocking merchandise, following store procedures and safety policies, and using diagnostic tools to read vehicle codes and recommend solutions. Flexible schedule availability is required, including mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise.

Nice To Haves

• Basic knowledge of automotive parts.
• Strong people skills and effective communication in both Spanish and English.
• Previous experience in automotive retail.
• Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification.

Responsibilities

• Engage with customers, provide trustworthy automotive advice, and communicate clearly and professionally.
• Collaborate with managers and teammates to support a motivated and productive store environment; assist team members and demonstrate leadership in daily responsibilities.
• Recommend products, services, and promotions to improve the customer experience and contribute to sales goals and store performance metrics.
• Restock merchandise, maintain store organization, follow point-of-sale procedures and loss prevention policies, and support proper financial management and smooth store operations.
• Use structured processes to complete assigned tasks efficiently and follow company safety policies, including use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Stay up to date on automotive parts, tools, and promotions through AutoZone systems.
• Use diagnostic tools to read codes from customer vehicles and recommend solutions.
• Lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
