About The Position
EZCORP is hiring a Retail Sales Associate / Retail Customer Service Team Member (Pawnbroker) for its EZPawn location at 4900 Ross Ave, Dallas, Texas 75206. The role is presented as a career opportunity in a fast-paced retail environment, with a structured career path and development opportunities. Employees begin as trainees in a five-week paid training program; upon completion, they receive a $0.50-per-hour raise and promotion to Pawnbroker. Further opportunities include a Pawnbroker Certification Program with an additional $1 per hour, promotion to Lead Pawnbroker (Shift Leader), and a path to Assistant Manager that includes a six-month training program. The position involves daily customer interaction, assisting with sales, and negotiating mutually satisfying agreements for pawn items such as jewelry, electronics, and musical instruments. Team members are expected to provide a friendly, courteous, and respectful customer environment. Pay is based on experience, from $14.00 to $15.00 per hour, with monthly uncapped bonus potential based on store and individual performance.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Customer service, cashier, or retail experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to multitask.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug test after a conditional offer.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and regulations.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of commonly pawned items, such as tools, jewelry, firearms, or electronics.

Responsibilities
- Greet and interact with customers in person and by phone, providing excellent customer service.
- Process sales, loans, and extensions.
- Perform store opening and closing duties.
- Assist customers with sales and reach mutually satisfying agreements regarding pawn items.
