About The Position

The Retail Sales Associate delivers value to AAA members while supporting overall sales performance. The role promotes memberships, insurance referrals, and financial products; assists customers with travel planning; manages Roadside Assistance calls; and supports team operations with cashiering, tag and title services, and ID services as needed. The position is located at 707 Southpark Boulevard, Suite 7, Colonial Heights, VA 23834. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 6 PM, and Saturday, 9 AM to 2 PM, for a 37.5-hour work week. The employer describes the schedule as having no late nights and no Sundays.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to build trust and explain value clearly.
• Comfort navigating multiple systems in a fast-paced environment.
• Satisfactory pre-employment and post-employment screening results, including criminal, drug, and state and/or vendor-specific screenings.
• Ability to obtain any necessary membership or other license required to perform the essential functions of the position.

Nice To Haves

• Previous sales experience is a plus.
• Basic geography knowledge is a plus.
• Notary Public designation, or willingness to obtain it within six months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Consistently promote and recommend AAA memberships, insurance referrals, and financial products.
• Assist customers with travel planning, including hotels, car rentals, and vacation packages.
• Manage and respond to Roadside Assistance calls throughout the day.
• Support team operations by helping with cashiering, tag and title services, and ID services as needed.
