Retail Sales Associate – Full Time
About The Position
AutoZone store teams provide customer service by helping customers find parts and solutions for automotive needs. Store employees maintain well-stocked inventory, assist with product selection, and provide advice while supporting sales, store operations, and a positive retail environment. The Retail Sales Associate delivers customer service, supports customers with automotive needs, and contributes to team and store performance. The role includes recommending products and promotions, maintaining inventory and store organization, following cash-handling and loss-prevention procedures, and completing assigned tasks in accordance with safety policies. Associates stay current on automotive parts, tools, and promotions using AutoZone systems, assist with wiper blade, battery, and light bulb installations, and use diagnostic tools to read vehicle codes and recommend solutions.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Basic knowledge of automotive parts is required.
- Ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
- Availability for a full-time flexible schedule, including mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Strong people skills and effective communication in both Spanish and English.
- Previous automotive retail experience.
- Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification.
Responsibilities
- Engage with customers, provide trustworthy automotive advice, and communicate clearly and professionally.
- Collaborate with managers and teammates, support team members, and demonstrate leadership in daily responsibilities.
- Recommend products, services, and promotions while contributing to sales goals and store performance metrics.
- Restock merchandise, maintain store organization, follow cash-handling and loss-prevention procedures, and support smooth store operations.
- Use structured processes to complete assigned tasks efficiently and follow company safety policies, including using personal protective equipment.
- Stay up to date on automotive parts, tools, and promotions through AutoZone systems.
- Assist customers with wiper blade, battery, and light bulb installations.
- Use diagnostic tools to read codes from customer vehicles and recommend solutions.
