Retail Sales Associate Part Time
About The Position
Sun Tan City is hiring a part-time Retail Sales Associate to provide customer service and product and service recommendations in a fast-paced salon. The role includes engaging with clients, understanding their needs, meeting minimum sales requirements, and maintaining the salon’s cleanliness. Associates work with a team and may also work independently and alone during shifts as business needs require. The listed compensation is $14.00–$17.00 per hour; the posting notes that $17.00 per hour is an average for team members meeting performance and training criteria and is not guaranteed. Base pay is $14.00 per hour or more, with performance bonuses. Sun Tan City is part of Glow Brands, a family-owned company headquartered in Louisville and Elizabethtown, Kentucky. Requirements
- Basic computer skills and knowledge.
- Ability to provide professional customer service and engage effectively with clients.
- Ability to make product and service recommendations and meet minimum sales requirements.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced salon environment.
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
- Ability to bend at the waist to clean tanning equipment and bend down to pick up items from floors.
- Ability to lift or assist in lifting items and heavy boxes.
- Ability to perform cleaning tasks including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and scrubbing.
- Ability to work independently and alone during shifts as business needs require.
Responsibilities
- Provide professional customer service and ensure clients’ needs are met.
- Build positive relationships with clients, understand their needs, and engage with them appropriately.
- Recommend products and services to clients.
- Meet minimum sales requirements.
- Multi-task, including cleaning tanning beds as clients leave and engaging new clients as they arrive.
- Maintain cleanliness in tanning rooms, the lobby, restrooms, laundry, and storage areas.
- Work cohesively with a team in a fast-paced salon while following company policies and procedures.
