About The Position

AutoZone’s Retail Sales Associates are part of the store team responsible for delivering WOW! Customer Service and helping customers find automotive parts and solutions. Associates support sales and store operations by assisting with product selection, sharing automotive advice, maintaining inventory, and contributing to a positive, knowledgeable retail environment. The position offers opportunities for career growth in the automotive retail industry.

Associates engage with customers, recommend products and promotions, support store performance, keep merchandise organized and stocked, follow point-of-sale and loss-prevention procedures, and use diagnostic tools to read codes from customer vehicles and recommend solutions. They work with managers and teammates, follow company processes and safety policies, and use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required. Flexible schedule availability—including mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed—is requested.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years old to apply.

Nice To Haves

• Basic knowledge of automotive parts.
• Strong people skills and effective communication in both Spanish and English.
• Previous experience in automotive retail.
• Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification.

Responsibilities

• Engage with customers, provide trustworthy automotive advice, and communicate clearly and professionally.
• Collaborate with managers and teammates, support team members, and demonstrate leadership in daily responsibilities.
• Recommend products, services, and promotions while contributing to sales goals and store performance metrics.
• Restock and organize merchandise, follow point-of-sale procedures and loss-prevention policies, and support proper financial management and smooth store operations.
• Use structured processes to complete tasks efficiently and follow company safety policies, including use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Stay up to date on automotive parts, tools, and promotions through AutoZone systems.
• Use diagnostic tools to read codes from customer vehicles and recommend solutions.
