About The Position

Floor & Decor Sales Associates provide customers with friendly, accurate service and support in finding products for their projects. They help maintain a fast-paced, safe sales-floor environment by keeping assigned departments clean, stocked, and shoppable. The role involves assisting customers with product recommendations, checkout, refunds and exchanges, merchandise stocking and display, and other store needs. Full-time and part-time positions are available.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Basic math skills.
• Customer service experience.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and work well under pressure.
• Some positions may require completion of Floor & Decor forklift certifications.
• Where permitted by state law, heavy-equipment certification requires passing a drug test.

Responsibilities

• Connect with customers, ask about their projects, recommend products, and build excitement about their purchases.
• Provide exceptional customer service and exceed customer expectations.
• Maintain assigned areas in-stock, clean, shoppable, and safe.
• Work with management and team members to achieve sales goals.
• Process customer purchases using the point-of-sale system.
• Process refunds and exchanges according to established guidelines.
• Follow cash, check, and credit-card acceptance procedures.
• Create price tags and merchandise signs; stock, tag, and display merchandise.
• Work in a manner consistent with company core values and comply with safety processes.
• Answer the telephone according to company guidelines.
• Assist in other store areas as needed.
• Work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
