About The Position

AutoZone store teams provide customer service, help customers find automotive parts and solutions, maintain inventory, and support sales and store operations. The Retail Sales Associate delivers customer service by assisting customers with automotive needs, recommending products and services, and supporting a positive retail environment. The role also includes merchandise restocking, store organization, cash handling, safety compliance, basic installation services, and diagnostic support. The posting refers to the role as both Retail Sales Associate and Senior Retail Sales Associate.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Basic knowledge of automotive parts is required.
• Ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
• Availability for a full-time flexible schedule, including mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Strong people skills and effective communication in both Spanish and English.
• Previous experience in automotive retail.
• Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification.

Responsibilities

• Engage with customers, provide trustworthy automotive advice, and communicate clearly and professionally.
• Collaborate with managers and teammates to create a productive store environment, support team members, and demonstrate leadership in daily responsibilities.
• Recommend products, services, and promotions while contributing to sales goals and store performance metrics.
• Restock merchandise, maintain store organization, follow cash-handling and loss-prevention policies, and support smooth store operations.
• Use established processes to complete tasks efficiently and follow safety policies, including using personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Keep current on automotive parts, tools, and promotions through AutoZone systems.
• Assist customers with wiper blade, battery, and light bulb installations.
• Use diagnostic tools to read codes from customer vehicles and recommend solutions.
• Lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
