Retail Sales Associate
About The Position
The Retail Sales Associate is responsible for delivering a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging with customers, following customer experience principles, and maintaining a clean and organized store. The associate adheres to operational, merchandise, loss-prevention, safety, and labor standards and may be cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs. The role includes ringing purchases and returns, promoting credit and loyalty programs, processing merchandise, maintaining merchandising standards, and participating in store recovery and shrink-reduction efforts.
Requirements

Responsibilities
- Engage and interact with customers while following established customer experience practices.
- Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
- Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
- Promote credit and loyalty programs.
- Maintain merchandising standards and philosophy.
- Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
- Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
- Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards on the sales floor and help maintain the entire store.
- Give and receive recognition and constructive feedback.
- Follow labor laws, policies, and procedures.
- Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
- Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
