Retail Sales Associate – Full Time
About The Position
AutoZone store teams provide customer service and help customers find automotive parts and solutions. Store employees maintain inventory, assist with product selection, and provide advice, while supporting sales and store operations. The Senior Retail Sales Associate role contributes to customer service, sales, and a positive, knowledgeable retail environment, with opportunities for career growth in the automotive industry. The associate helps customers with automotive products and services, supports teammates and store leadership, maintains merchandise and store organization, and follows company processes and safety policies. The role also involves assisting with select installations and using diagnostic tools to read vehicle codes and recommend solutions.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Basic knowledge of automotive parts is required.
- Ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
- Availability for a full-time flexible schedule, including mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Strong people skills and effective communication in both Spanish and English.
- Previous automotive retail experience.
- Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification.
Responsibilities
- Engage with customers, provide automotive advice, and communicate clearly and professionally.
- Collaborate with managers and teammates, support team members, and demonstrate leadership in daily responsibilities.
- Recommend products, services, and promotions while contributing to sales goals and store performance metrics.
- Restock and organize merchandise, follow cash-handling and loss-prevention procedures, and support smooth store operations.
- Complete assigned tasks using structured processes and comply with company safety policies and PPE requirements.
- Stay current on automotive parts, tools, and promotions using AutoZone systems.
- Assist customers with wiper blade, battery, and light bulb installations.
- Use diagnostic tools to read codes from customer vehicles and recommend solutions.
