Retail Sales Associate Part Time
About The Position
The Retail Sales Associate promotes BJ’s membership programs and delivers efficient, high-quality member service. The role includes acquiring, renewing, and upgrading memberships; cross-selling membership benefits and co-branded credit cards; and assisting members with questions, concerns, returns, exchanges, merchandise lookups, and pickups. The associate also supports online pickup orders, follows club policies and procedures, and may work in other departments as needed. Team members are expected to uphold club standards, contribute to a safe and positive environment, work collaboratively and respectfully, and maintain a friendly attitude. They support the daily GOLD Member Standards and help keep merchandise stocked, promotional plans executed, signage accurate, and club areas clean and organized. Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.

Responsibilities
- Promote BJ’s membership value proposition, including acquisition, retention, perks, and the member experience.
- Pitch membership programs to potential members and sell membership products to new and existing members in accordance with company policies.
- Work toward business-established sales benchmarks and goals.
- Understand BJ’s membership options and co-branded credit card offerings.
- Serve as a first point of contact for membership and credit card applications, questions, issues, merchandise returns and exchanges, product lookups, and pickups.
- Follow tax-exempt and resale membership policies and procedures, including monitoring renewals and status.
- Resolve member concerns courteously and promptly, escalating issues to the PIC or MOD when necessary.
- Assist members with BOPIC (Buy Online and Pick Up In Club) orders.
- Maintain club policies and procedures and support daily GOLD club standards.
- Perform other assigned duties, including working in other departments as needed.
- Maintain regular, predictable, full attendance.
- Help ensure merchandise is stocked, promotional plans are executed, signage is accurate, and club areas are clean and organized.
- Support a safe, positive, inclusive environment and collaborate with team members.
