Retail Sales Associate – Full Time
About The Position
AutoZone store teams provide frontline customer service, help customers find automotive parts and solutions, maintain well-stocked inventory, and support sales and store operations. The Retail Sales Associate delivers WOW! customer service, assists customers with automotive needs, and contributes to a positive, knowledgeable retail environment. The role offers opportunities for growth in an essential industry serving the motoring public. The associate communicates with customers, recommends products and services, supports teammates, manages merchandise and store processes, and follows safety procedures. The role also includes assisting with wiper blade, battery, and light bulb installations and using diagnostic tools to read vehicle codes and recommend solutions.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Basic knowledge of automotive parts is required.
- Ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
- Availability for a full-time flexible schedule, including mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Strong people skills and effective communication in both Spanish and English.
- Previous experience in automotive retail.
- Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification.
Responsibilities
- Engage with customers, provide trustworthy automotive advice, and communicate clearly and professionally.
- Collaborate with managers and teammates to support a motivated, productive store environment and demonstrate leadership in daily responsibilities.
- Recommend products, services, and promotions while contributing to sales goals and store performance metrics.
- Restock and organize merchandise, follow cash-handling and loss-prevention policies, and help maintain smooth store operations.
- Use structured processes to complete tasks efficiently and follow company safety policies, including use of personal protective equipment.
- Maintain knowledge of automotive parts, tools, and promotions through AutoZone systems.
- Assist customers with wiper blade, battery, and light bulb installations.
- Use diagnostic tools to read codes from customer vehicles and recommend solutions.
- Lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
