About The Position

Great Floors is seeking a motivated and results-oriented Retail Sales Associate to support our Bellingham, WA location. In this role, you will focus on identifying new business opportunities, building client relationships, and contributing to revenue growth while upholding our company's high standards of service and quality. The primary responsibilities include listening to the customer, identifying solutions for their flooring needs, consummating a sale, and taking payment per established credit policy. You will also facilitate all communications, logistics, and other transactional items on an order to ensure total customer satisfaction, grow retail business via relationship development and follow-up, and prospect for business opportunities such as referrals, Real Estate Agents, owner builders, remodelers, insurance and restoration leads, and past customers. You will be expected to meet or exceed company's established sales goals for your location, develop an understanding of the company, accounting and credit policy, and job management, and support and leverage company’s strengths in product offerings, policies and procedures.

  • Must have the ability to distinguish colors, patterns, and details in product samples for effective communication with clients and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in using standard office equipment, including computers and presentation tools, as well as handling samples and marketing materials.
  • Extended periods of standing or walking during client meetings and on the retail sales floor.
  • Clear verbal communication skills are essential for discussions and negotiations with clients.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and auto insurance for occasional local travel.
  • Ability to adjust to various environments, whether in office spaces, workshops, showrooms, or outdoor construction sites.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the flooring and/or construction industry is a plus but not required. We are willing to train motivated candidates who demonstrate reliability and a strong work ethic.
