Retail Sales Associate – Part Time
About The Position
AutoZone’s store teams provide WOW! Customer Service by helping customers find the right automotive parts and solutions. Store employees maintain inventory, assist with product selection, offer automotive advice, support sales, and help maintain a positive and knowledgeable retail environment. As a Retail Sales Associate, you will help exceed customer expectations and contribute to store operations and sales. The role includes assisting customers, recommending products and promotions, maintaining merchandise and store organization, following safety and loss-prevention procedures, learning about automotive products, and using diagnostic tools to read vehicle codes and recommend solutions. The position is part-time and offers opportunities for career growth.
Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years old to apply.
- Ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
- Flexible schedule availability, including mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
Nice To Haves
- Basic knowledge of automotive parts.
- Strong people skills and effective communication in both Spanish and English.
- Previous experience in automotive retail.
- Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification.
Responsibilities
- Engage with customers, provide trustworthy automotive advice, and communicate clearly and professionally.
- Collaborate with managers and teammates, support team members, and contribute to a motivated and productive store environment.
- Recommend products, services, and promotions to improve the customer experience and contribute to sales goals and store performance metrics.
- Restock and organize merchandise, follow point-of-sale procedures and loss-prevention policies, and support proper financial management and smooth store operations.
- Follow structured processes and company safety policies, and use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Stay current on automotive parts, tools, and promotions through AutoZone systems.
- Use diagnostic tools to read codes from customer vehicles and recommend solutions.
