Retail Sales Associate – Full Time
About The Position
AutoZone store teams provide customer service and help customers find automotive parts and solutions. Store employees maintain inventory, assist with product selection, and offer automotive advice while supporting sales and daily store operations. The Retail Sales Associate delivers customer service, contributes to a knowledgeable and positive retail environment, and helps customers with automotive products and services. The role includes assisting customers, supporting teammates, recommending products and promotions, maintaining merchandise and store organization, following cash-handling and loss-prevention procedures, and complying with safety policies. Associates also build product knowledge using AutoZone systems, help install wiper blades, batteries, and light bulbs, and use diagnostic tools to read vehicle codes and recommend solutions.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Basic knowledge of automotive parts is required.
- Ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
- Availability for a flexible full-time schedule, including mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Strong people skills and effective communication in both Spanish and English.
- Previous experience in automotive retail.
- Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification.
Responsibilities
- Engage with customers, provide automotive advice, and communicate clearly and professionally.
- Collaborate with managers and teammates, support team members, and demonstrate leadership in daily responsibilities.
- Recommend products, services, and promotions while contributing to sales goals and store performance metrics.
- Restock merchandise and maintain store organization.
- Follow cash-handling procedures and loss-prevention policies.
- Complete assigned tasks using structured processes and follow company safety policies, including using required personal protective equipment.
- Stay current on automotive parts, tools, and promotions through AutoZone systems.
- Assist customers with wiper blade, battery, and light bulb installations.
- Use diagnostic tools to read codes from customer vehicles and recommend solutions.
