Retail Sales Associate – Part Time
About The Position
AutoZone’s store teams provide customer service by helping customers find automotive parts and solutions, maintaining inventory, and supporting store operations. The Retail Sales Associate delivers WOW! Customer Service by assisting customers, offering automotive advice, recommending products and promotions, and contributing to sales goals and store performance. The role also involves restocking and organizing merchandise, following point-of-sale and loss-prevention procedures, complying with safety policies and using PPE, learning about parts and promotions through AutoZone systems, and using diagnostic tools to read vehicle codes and recommend solutions. The position offers opportunities for growth in an automotive retail environment.
Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years old to apply.
- Ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
- Flexible schedule availability, including mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
Nice To Haves
- Basic knowledge of automotive parts.
- Strong people skills and effective communication in both Spanish and English.
- Previous experience in automotive retail.
- Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification.
Responsibilities
- Engage with customers, provide trustworthy automotive advice, and communicate clearly and professionally.
- Collaborate with managers and teammates, support team members, and contribute to a motivated and productive store environment.
- Recommend products, services, and promotions while contributing to sales goals and store performance metrics.
- Restock and organize merchandise; follow point-of-sale procedures and loss-prevention policies; and support smooth store operations and proper financial management.
- Complete assigned tasks efficiently by following structured processes and company safety policies, including using Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Stay current on automotive parts, tools, and promotions through AutoZone systems.
- Use diagnostic tools to read codes from customer vehicles and recommend solutions.
- Lift, load, and deliver merchandise as required.
