About The Position

Wild Bill’s Tobacco is hiring a Retail Sales Associate to provide customer service and support the operation of a retail store. The associate helps customers find products, builds customer relationships, supports sales goals and promotional efforts, and maintains a clean, stocked, and orderly store. The role includes opening and closing the store, handling cash and inventory-related tasks, completing transactions and paperwork, and following company policies and procedures. Associates may travel within a 15-mile radius of their home store to cover shifts. Shifts range from 4 to 12 hours and involve standing on the sales floor, along with bending, twisting, squatting, reaching overhead, and lifting up to 50 pounds.

Requirements

• Completion of high school or equivalent.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Experience in retail environments and customer service.
• Professional, energetic, and positive attitude.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Flexible scheduling availability.
• Ability to work shifts ranging from 4 to 12 hours while standing on the sales floor.
• Ability to twist, bend, squat, lift, and reach overhead.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers, answer phones, assess customer needs, and provide positive service.
• Answer questions and resolve customer inquiries and concerns.
• Build relationships with customers and suggest products that meet their needs.
• Meet or exceed sales goals.
• Participate in opportunities to develop product knowledge.
• Promote the brand inside and outside the store to solicit new business.
• Assist with retail store functions in compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Keep the store clean and well stocked.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.
• Travel within a 15-mile radius of the home store for shift coverage.
• Work with store management to open, close, and operate the retail facility, including cash handling, inventory counts, and deposits.
• Complete accurate paperwork and transactions according to company policies and procedures.
• Maintain the appearance of the store, back room, restrooms, and individual work area.
• Make customers’ experiences comfortable and simple while meeting their needs.
• Assist with other tasks, duties, or projects assigned by management.
• Open and close the store, including locking doors and setting the alarm.
