About The Position

EZCORP is hiring a Retail Sales Associate / Retail Customer Service Team Member (Pawnbroker) at EZPawn in Davenport, Iowa. This customer-facing retail role involves helping customers with sales and negotiating mutually satisfying agreements regarding pawn items such as jewelry, electronics, and musical instruments. The associate helps create a friendly, courteous, and respectful environment while supporting store operations.

New hires start as Trainees in a five-week paid training program. Upon completion, they receive a $0.50-per-hour raise and promotion to Pawnbroker. Further development opportunities include the Pawnbroker Certification Program, Lead Pawnbroker (Shift Leader), and Assistant Manager, which includes a six-month training program.

Pay is based on experience, from $14.00 to $15.00 per hour. The role also offers monthly uncapped bonuses based on store and individual performance.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Customer service, cashier, or retail experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to multitask.
• Self-motivation, a positive and outgoing personality, and a strong work ethic.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug test after a conditional offer.
• Adhere to company policies, procedures, and regulations.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of commonly pawned items such as tools, jewelry, firearms, or electronics.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide excellent service in person and over the phone.
• Process sales, loans, and extensions.
• Perform opening and closing store duties.
