About The Position

Sun Tan City is seeking a part-time Retail Sales Associate to provide friendly client service and recommend tanning, wellness, and retail products and services. Associates work in a positive, upbeat, fast-paced salon environment, build relationships with clients, help meet sales requirements, and maintain salon cleanliness. The role may involve working independently and alone during shifts as business needs require. Compensation is listed as $14.00–$17.00 per hour: base pay is $14.00 per hour or more, with performance bonuses; the stated average of $17.00 per hour is not guaranteed and depends on meeting performance and training criteria.

Requirements

Basic computer skills and knowledge.
Ability to provide professional customer service and build client relationships.
Ability to make product and service recommendations and meet minimum sales requirements.
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced salon environment.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Ability to bend at the waist and bend down to clean equipment and pick up items from floors.
Ability to lift or assist in lifting items and heavy boxes.
Ability to perform cleaning tasks such as dusting, sweeping, mopping, and scrubbing.
Ability to work independently and alone during shifts as business needs require.

Responsibilities

Provide excellent customer service and ensure clients’ needs are met professionally.
Engage with clients, build relationships, and understand and meet their needs.
Recommend products and services to clients.
Maintain minimum sales requirements.
Multi-task, including cleaning tanning beds as clients leave and engaging new clients upon arrival.
Help maintain cleanliness in tanning rooms, the lobby, restrooms, laundry, and storage areas.
Work cohesively with a team in an upbeat, fast-paced salon environment while following company policies and procedures.
Educate clients on tanning and wellness options.
