About The Position

Sun Tan City is seeking a part-time Retail Sales Associate to provide friendly, professional customer service and help clients choose tanning, wellness, and related products and services. The role involves building client relationships, understanding and meeting client needs, making recommendations, and maintaining minimum sales requirements. Associates also help keep the salon clean and welcoming, including tanning rooms, the lobby, restrooms, laundry, and storage areas. The position is in a fast-paced salon environment and may require working independently during a shift as business needs require. The advertised base pay is $11.50 per hour or more, with performance bonuses and average earnings of $15.50 per hour for team members who meet the stated performance and training criteria. Requirements

Basic computer skills and knowledge.
Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
Ability to bend at the waist to clean tanning equipment.
Ability to lift or assist in lifting items and heavy boxes.
Ability to bend down to pick up trash, towels, and other items from floors.
Ability to perform cleaning tasks including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and scrubbing.

Responsibilities

Provide excellent, professional customer service and ensure clients’ needs are met.
Build relationships with clients, understand their needs, and engage with them appropriately.
Recommend products and services to clients.
Meet minimum sales requirements.
Multitask by cleaning tanning beds as clients leave while engaging newly arriving clients.
Maintain cleanliness in tanning rooms, the lobby, restrooms, laundry, and storage areas.
Work cohesively with a team in an upbeat, fast-paced salon environment while following company policies and procedures.
Work independently and alone during shifts when business needs require.
