About The Position

We are currently seeking enthusiastic associates to be an extension of the simplehuman brand. As a Retail Associate, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our West Village store. You will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, supporting day-to-day store operations, and helping achieve sales goals. This position is ideal for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced retail environment and are passionate about delivering outstanding customer experiences.

Requirements

• Prior retail or customer service experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage customers naturally and confidently.
• Tech-savvy and comfortable learning new systems.
• Highly reliable, punctual, and adaptable to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs. as needed.
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with POS systems (Shopify preferred) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide an exceptional in-store experience by engaging with customers, answering questions, and offering knowledgeable product recommendations.
• Assist customers with product inquiries and support our newsletter program to build relationships, meet sales goals, and share promotions.
• Operate the point-of-sale system (Shopify POS) to process purchases, returns, and special orders accurately.
• Support order fulfillment, including in-store pickups and shipping.
• Maintain store cleanliness, organization, and presentation to uphold simplehuman’s brand standards.
• Replenish and rotate stock to ensure merchandise is well-presented and readily available.
• Assist with merchandising, visual displays, and seasonal floor sets.
• Support store events, promotions, and activations as needed.
• Collaborate with the store manager and team to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets.
