About The Position

As a Retail Sales Associate, you are the face of the retail locations, providing exceptional customer service and product knowledge. The role supports revenue growth through sales strategies, maintains store standards, and fosters a welcoming environment. Responsibilities include assisting customers, handling transactions, stocking and organizing merchandise, supporting inventory and promotional displays, and following applicable cannabis retail regulations. The associate also supports patient services and documentation, including maintaining confidential, HIPAA-compliant paperwork and completing tasks associated with reserve-ahead pickups and home deliveries.

Requirements

Must be 21 or older.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid government-issued photo ID.
Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
One year of experience in retail or a related customer service role.
Proficiency operating POS systems and handling transactions.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and resolve issues promptly.
Ability to remain stationary, sitting or standing, for prolonged periods during a shift.
Ability to assist with lifting stock and materials.
Ability to occasionally position oneself to retrieve products or materials in the store.

Nice To Haves

Experience in the cannabis industry.
Familiarity with inventory management systems.
Ability to speak another language to assist guests.

Responsibilities

Use upselling and cross-selling techniques to increase sales and meet or exceed individual and team sales targets.
Stay informed about promotions, sales, and programs to inform customers.
Greet and assist customers, provide product information and recommendations, and handle inquiries, complaints, and returns professionally.
Provide patient customer service, retrieve patient information from the Medical Marijuana Use Registry when required, and maintain confidential, HIPAA-compliant paperwork.
Package pre-orders accurately for reserve-ahead pickups.
Obtain appropriate documentation from patients at each delivery and verify identification and registration validity.
Deliver products to customers in the store or through home delivery.
Operate POS and auxiliary sales systems and process transactions accurately.
Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked sales floor.
Assist with inventory management, including receiving and stocking merchandise.
Set up and dismantle promotional displays and visual merchandising.
Follow state regulations for certified cannabis retailers.
Maintain accurate records of sales and customer interactions and comply with HIPAA and other regulatory requirements.
Follow loss-prevention guidelines and monitor for suspicious activity.
Perform other duties as assigned.
