About The Position
As a Retail Sales Associate, you are responsible for making sure each and every guest has the top quality customer service from entering the door to checkout. Boyne Resorts is a collection of mountain and lakeside resorts, ski areas, and attractions spanning from British Columbia to Maine. The company owns and operates twelve properties and an outdoor lifestyle equipment/apparel retail division with stores in cities throughout Michigan. An industry leader in multiple U.S. regions, operations include Snowsports and year-round mountain recreation, golf, an indoor waterpark, spas, food, and beverage, lodging and real estate development.
Requirements
- Previous experience providing excellent customer service
- Approachable and hospitable
- Communicate in a clear and friendly manner

- Understand the demands of exceeding customer needs
- Able to physically lift or move items weighing up to 50 pounds
- Achieved a high school diploma or equivalent
- Comfortable handling payment transactions
- Basic computer skills

Responsibilities
- Welcome customers by greeting them and offering them assistance
- Assist customers by escorting them directly to racks and counters, and/or suggesting items
- Advise customers by providing accurate information on products
- Help customer make selections by building customer confidence through offering suggestions and opinions
- Accept payments by totaling purchases and processing checks, cash, or credit cards
- Keep clientele informed by notifying them of preferred customer sales and future merchandise of potential interest
- Setup and display products and merchandise through the store
- Maintain the appearance and cleanliness of the store and merchandise
- Help maintain accurate inventory records
