About The Position

Boscov’s is seeking a Retail Sales Associate to join their team. The position is suitable for individuals with previous sales or customer service experience.

Requirements

Ability and desire to actively engage customers, sell merchandise, and provide excellent customer service.
Prior retail sales experience and/or customer service experience, preferred.
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Proficiency with basic math skills.
Ability to learn selling skills and to operate a POS register and telxon.
Available to work varied days and hours as work schedule requires, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

Build customer confidence, provide accurate information, and promote products.
Establish professional, yet personalized rapport with each customer to close sales and provide the best customer experience.
Sell merchandise and provide customer service according to company standards (greeting and acknowledging customers, solid product knowledge, etc.).
Maintain the appearance of the selling floor.
Perform marketing activities such as opening new Boscov’s charge accounts to achieve company goals.
Accurately and efficiently complete all transactions and paperwork while adhering to all company policies and procedures.
Maintain awareness of advertised merchandise; process and maintain stock by assisting in receiving, folding, straightening, and replenishing merchandise.
