Retail Sales Associate – Full Time
About The Position
AutoZone store teams deliver WOW! customer service by helping customers find the right automotive parts and solutions. Store employees maintain well-stocked inventory, assist with product selection, and provide knowledgeable advice while supporting sales and day-to-day store operations. The Retail Sales Associate contributes to a positive, knowledgeable retail environment and helps customers with automotive needs. This role involves engaging customers, recommending products and promotions, maintaining merchandise and store organization, and following cash-handling, loss-prevention, and safety procedures. Associates stay current on automotive parts, tools, and promotions using AutoZone systems; assist with wiper blade, battery, and light bulb installations; and use diagnostic tools to read vehicle codes and recommend solutions.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Basic knowledge of automotive parts is required.
- Ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
- Availability for a full-time flexible schedule, including mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Strong people skills and effective communication in both Spanish and English.
- Previous experience in automotive retail.
- Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification.
Responsibilities
- Engage with customers, provide trustworthy automotive advice, and communicate clearly and professionally.
- Collaborate with managers and teammates, support team members, and demonstrate leadership in daily responsibilities.
- Recommend products, services, and promotions to improve the customer experience and contribute to sales goals and store performance metrics.
- Restock merchandise and maintain store organization.
- Follow cash-handling procedures and loss-prevention policies.
- Use structured processes to complete assigned tasks efficiently.
- Follow company safety policies and use personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Stay up to date on automotive parts, tools, and promotions through AutoZone systems.
- Assist customers with wiper blade, battery, and light bulb installations.
- Use diagnostic tools to read codes from customer vehicles and recommend solutions.
- Lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
