About The Position
AutoZone store teams provide customer service, help customers find automotive parts and solutions, maintain stocked inventory, and support store sales and operations. The Retail Sales Associate helps deliver WOW! Customer Service, offers automotive advice, recommends relevant products and services, and contributes to a knowledgeable, positive retail environment. The role also includes supporting teammates, maintaining merchandise and store organization, following cash-handling and loss-prevention procedures, complying with safety policies and using PPE, assisting with wiper blade, battery, and light bulb installations, and using diagnostic tools to read vehicle codes and recommend solutions. The position offers opportunities for career growth in an essential industry serving the motoring public.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Basic knowledge of automotive parts is required.
- Ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
- Availability for a full-time flexible schedule, including mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Strong people skills and effective communication in both Spanish and English.
- Previous experience in automotive retail.
- Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification.
Responsibilities
- Engage with customers, provide trustworthy automotive advice, and communicate clearly and professionally.
- Collaborate with managers and teammates, support team members, and demonstrate leadership in daily responsibilities.
- Recommend products, services, and promotions while contributing to sales goals and store performance metrics.
- Restock and organize merchandise, follow cash-handling and loss-prevention procedures, and support smooth store operations.
- Use structured processes to complete tasks efficiently; follow safety policies and use personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Stay current on automotive parts, tools, and promotions through AutoZone systems.
- Assist customers with wiper blade, battery, and light bulb installations.
- Use diagnostic tools to read codes from customer vehicles and recommend solutions.
- Lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
