Retail Sales Associate – Part Time
About The Position
AutoZone’s store teams provide customer service and help customers find automotive parts and solutions. Store employees maintain inventory, assist with product selection, provide advice, support sales, and help keep store operations running smoothly. The Retail Sales Associate delivers customer service by helping customers with automotive needs, recommending products and services, and contributing to sales goals and store performance. The role involves teamwork, inventory upkeep, point-of-sale procedures, safety compliance, learning about products and promotions, and using diagnostic tools to read vehicle codes and recommend solutions.
Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years old to apply.
- Ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
- Flexible schedule availability, including mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
Nice To Haves
- Basic knowledge of automotive parts.
- Strong people skills and effective communication in both Spanish and English.
- Previous experience in automotive retail.
- Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification.
Responsibilities
- Engage with customers, provide trustworthy automotive advice, and communicate clearly and professionally.
- Collaborate with managers and teammates to maintain a motivated, productive store environment; support team members and demonstrate leadership in daily responsibilities.
- Recommend products, services, and promotions, and contribute to sales goals and store performance metrics.
- Restock and organize merchandise, follow point-of-sale procedures and loss prevention policies, and support proper financial management and smooth store operations.
- Complete assigned tasks efficiently by following company processes and safety policies, including use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Stay up to date on automotive parts, tools, and promotions through AutoZone systems.
- Use diagnostic tools to read codes from customer vehicles and recommend solutions.
